Comparative data analysis of two tools estimating annual heating load curves of buildings on an urban scale based on use cases
Building Simulation Conference proceedings, vol. 18
Abstract
Heating load curves are often utilized in the early planning stages of district heating networks. There is a large number of methods for generating those curves. However, often the models can not be selected based on their accuracy due to the lack of measurement data for the validation. This paper compares two tools for heating load curve calculation: TEASER and SCoTED. For this purpose, they are compared concerning their application areas. Both tools are applied to example districts, with the help of which criteria are worked out that narrow down the scope of application.
