Teaching Ethical Challenges in Automatic Control
IFAC-PapersOnLine, vol. 55, pp. 91–96
Abstract
Control engineers are likely to face ethical challenges in their future work. In order to sensitize prospective engineers to this issue and provide them with a few guidelines, an innovative and interactive teaching format was developed. With the central component of a simulation game, students come into contact with real-life situations and the pitfalls hidden there. The positive evaluation of the teaching unit shows that the presented format engages the students and can convey the important knowledge.
