A {Na 2 Fe 10 } isobutyrate cluster, interlinked into 1D chains

Abstract

The coordination cluster [Na 2 Fe 10 O 6 (OH) 4 (isobutyrate) 14 (MeO) 2 (MeCN) 2 ], derived from a {Fe 3 (μ 3 -O)(isobutyrate) 6 } precursor, features a cluster shell of corner-sharing {Fe 3 (μ 3 -O)} motifs, capped by two sodium ions.
