Abstract
The reaction was carried out under aerobic conditions in a high-pressure flask. 2-[Bis(3,5-diphenylpyrazol-1-yl)methyl]-4-chloro-pyridine (1.50 g, 2.66 mmol, 1.00 equiv) and N-methylmethanamine;hydrochloride (1.34 g, 16.4 mmol, 6.17 equiv) were dissolved in a mixture of water (2.6 mL) and ethanol (0.52 mL). Sodium hydroxide (0.656 g, 16.4 mmol, 6.15 eq.) was promptly added, and the flask was sealed. The reaction mixture was stirred for 4 hours at 130 °C. After cooling to room temperature, DCM (2 mL) was added, and the solution was stirred for additional 5 minutes.
