Abstract

*This deliverable has not yet been officially approved by the European Commission and should be considered a draft This document presents the outcomes from the activities performed in Interoperable, Scalable and seCure AC-DC modular Automation system (InterSCADA) project under the Work Package (WP)1 Needs, methodologies and approaches within Task 1.2 Regulations and standards identifications and considerations. The activities under Task 1.2 aimed to identify common points and specificities of European Union (EU) countries from the regulatory and policy points of view while formulating a framework to overcome identified regulatory barriers and shortcomings associated to the implementation of Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems applied to hybrid Alternating Current (AC)/ Direct Current (DC). This task also investigated the requirements from grid interconnection and operation codes, as well as the requirements to participate in system ancillary service markets
