The Radiotherapy Emission Quest
Zenodo (CERN European Organization for Nuclear Research)
Abstract
This repository contains an interactive educational game on sustainability in radiotherapy, provided as a downloadable H5P file for flexible reuse in teaching and training environments. The game was developed to translate previously quantified greenhouse gas emission data from radiotherapy centers into an accessible and engaging learning format for multidisciplinary radiotherapy professionals. Built with H5P using the Game Map element and additional interactive components such as quizzes, hotspot tasks, drag and drop, multiple choice, and dialogue cards, it guides users through typical process steps in a radiotherapy center while highlighting major emission hotspots and possible mitigation strategies. The application can be used online or offline. By combining radiotherapy-specific sustainability evidence with serious game-based learning principles, this resource supports interdisciplinary environmental awareness, staff education, and the scalable dissemination of sustainability knowledge in clinical practice.
