Mutual constraints on global aerosol composition from novel PACE data and ModelE

Abstract

Co-located data sets and analysis code underlying "Mutual constraints on global aerosol composition from novel PACE data and ModelE" (submitted to Atmospheric Chemistry and Physics). Contains a co-located SPEXone/RemoTAP and NASA GISS ModelE-MATRIX dataset for 23 February 2024 through 31 December 2025, the daily aerosol water and relative humidity aggregates used for the marine water analysis, the AERONET comparison table, and the scripts that produce every figure in the paper and the paper supplement. Layout:--> 01_sampling_code/ ## how each dataset was built--> 02_co_located_data_sets/ ## all relevant datasets--> 03_figure_plotting_code/ ## .py scripts for each figure FIGURES.md maps each figure to its script, inputs and output. README.md describes the directory layout and the environment. The sampling pipeline in 01_sampling_code/ is deposited for documentation and will not run as supplied: it reads SPEXone L2, raw ModelE output and reanalysis fields that are too large to include (>10 TB). These data will be made available upon request. The figure scripts in 03_figure_plotting_code/ run directly against the deposited data.
