Single-atom Ni catalysis accelerates desolvation for high performance Zn–MnO 2 batteries

Chemical Communications, vol. 62, pp. 18218–18221

Abstract

In this work, N-doped carbon with a single-atom Ni catalyst is introduced to achieve stepwise atom-level catalytic desolvation of Zn(H 2 O) x 2+ , which enables more insertion of Zn 2+ into the MnO 2 cathode, thereby achieving the high performance.
