Abstract
6.0.0 (2026-08-05) feat(cn0)!: default to NWPR and forward the navigation-bit state to the estimator (56469e5) feat(cn0)!: make the CN0 estimator pluggable via a type parameter (ed6c93f) Bug Fixes cn0: cap NWPR's coherent window at the loop's coherence time (b4c2fad) cn0: drop the buffered windows when a record outgrows its own window (04e7cc3) cn0: estimate the NWPR power ratio as ΣNBP/ΣWBP (4e58670) cn0: keep a record spanning no whole code block out of the window (772d688) Features cn0: add NoCN0Estimator for signals that should not be measured (21644a2) BREAKING CHANGES estimate_cn0 now returns NWPR's estimate instead of the moment ratio's, so its numbers change for every satellite — most visibly below ~30 dB-Hz, where it stops reporting the moment ratio's ~27.6 dB-Hz noise floor. Two consequences for downstream code: the value can be -Inf dB-Hz ("no detectable signal", the limit of the expression on noise). Thresholding needs no change; averaging the estimate does; NWPR measures coherent C/N₀, so residual loop phase noise counts against it: with the conventional PLL at 1 ms records it reads ~1.5 dB low at a true 35 dB-Hz and ~5 dB low at 25 dB-Hz. Pass cn0_estimator = MomentsCN0Estimator(num_prompts_for_cn0_estimation) to TrackedSignal / TrackedSat to keep the previous estimator, or NWPRCN0Estimator(; num_presync_narrowband_code_blocks = 0) to use it only until bit sync. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5 (1M context) noreply@anthropic.com TrackedSignal gained a fifth type parameter, TrackedSignal{Sig, B, C, PCF, CN0}, holding the CN0 estimator type. Code that spells the type out with exactly four parameters — e.g. a method signature f(::TrackedSignal{Sig,B,C,PCF}) used as a concrete type, or a stored Dictionary{Int, TrackedSat{Tuple{TrackedSignal{S,B,C,P}}, D}} slot type — must add the parameter or leave it off entirely (TrackedSignal{Sig,B,C,PCF} still works as a UnionAll in dispatch position). Field access, the accessor ladder (get_cn0_estimator, estimate_cn0, …) and all constructor calls are unaffected. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5 (1M context) noreply@anthropic.com
