Sebacina opalea Bourdot & Galzin 1898

Abstract

Sebacina opalea Bourdot & Galzin, Bulletin de la Société Mycologique de France 39: 262, 1924 Note. Sebacina opalea was described from France (Bourdot and Galzin 1924, 1927) and later reintroduced as a member of Exidiopsis by Reid (1970) and Roberts (1993). The species has not been formally typified yet. However, our study of the authentic material, as well as newly collected specimens confirm that S. opalea should be removed from the Auriculariales. Its reintroduction and taxonomic replacement is the subject of a forthcoming publication.
