Exidiopsis citrina Hauerslev
Abstract
Exidiopsis citrina Hauerslev, Mycotaxon 49: 221, 1993 Holotype. Denmark • Hovedstaden: Lyngby-Taarbæk, Ørholm, Salix sp. (?), 19 Nov 1976, Hauerslev 5257 (C 19751, studied). Exidiopsis citrina was introduced based on a single specimen from Denmark (Hauerslev 1993). Rather small, predominantly pyriform basidiospores, as well as constantly two-celled basidia with relatively thick sterigmata are atypical for the Auriculariaceae. This species is definitely not a member of Exidiopsis as reintroduced above but its taxonomic position cannot be defined without DNA data.
