Exidia japonica Lloyd
Abstract
Exidia japonica Lloyd, Mycological Writings 5: 599, 1916 = Tremellochaete japonica (Lloyd) Raitv., Eesti NSV Teaduste Akadeemia Toimetised 13: 30, 1964. Exidia japonica is the generic type of Tremellochaete (Raitviir 1964; Malysheva and Spirin 2017). According to our phylogenetic analyses (Figs 1, 2), Tremellochaete must be treated as a part of the redefined Exidia. Thus, the original binomial is the correct name for this species. Holotype. Japan. Sendai, 3 Nov 1915, Yasuda 356 (TNS 203268, studied).
