Abstract

A manual control of the right positioning of reinforcement bars is a very demanding, expensive task. A controller should physically check the reinforcement bars, the joints and even the tolerances between them. This puts a huge amount of work in the hand of controllers, which need to check carefully a big reinforcement grid. The development of an industrial process, which automates this tasks is the main purpose of this project. The main idea is to automate the controlling task of a grid using the most appropriate technology in order to: Ensure that every relevant single spot is automatically detected and inspected. Reduce time and resources for the inspection task. Build up a digitalization workflow, where the collected data are digitalized, stored, connected to digital planning tools and used as a backup, information source or even as a training model for upcoming projects. Those files consists of the pointclouds of the taken scans using a Riegl vz-400i laserscanner
