Abstract
Relevance. Every year, the use of applied software (SW) in various spheres of human activity is expanding. Not only its use is enhansing, but the complexity of implementing the software development process (SDP) is also increasing. Over time, the issue of not only assessing the quality of the SDP but also planning its improvement under conditions of limited time and financial resources becomes increasingly important. Therefore, the transition from traditional verbal descriptions of SDP quality assessment and its individual components to the development of mathematical models that allow solving optimization problems from the perspective of SDP efficiency based on utility theory is a relevant issue. Object of study is software development process. Subject of study is mathematical models for planning the quality improvement of the software development process. The goal of the scientific work is to develop a dynamic model and an algorithm that allow planning the quality improvement of a set of maturity model processes based on quantitative scales. Research results. A method for planning the quality improvement of the SDP is proposed based on the synthesis of an optimization dynamic model and an algorithm of the method of sequential analysis of variants, which are based on quantitative scales of maturity models and utility theory. The conducted research allows not only assessing the maturity (quality) of individual processes and the entire SDP but also forming rational trajectories for their development under limited resources.
