Abstract

Cucullopsis Chao, 1927 Original source Chao (1927): 10. Type species Cucullopsis quadrata Chao, 1927; by original designation. Upper Carboniferous to lower Permian, China. Gender Female. Remarks Originally placed in the family Parallelodontidae. Questionably assigned to the “ Grammatodon group” of the family Parallelodontidae according to Newell (1969). Consistently treated as a distinct genus (e.g., Astafieva-Urbajtis & Ramovš 1978; Fang et al. 2009; Nevesskaja et al. 2013).
