Recent advancements in mineral sorting and separation technologies have revolutionized the efficiency and sustainability of the mining industry. These innovations span across sensor-based sorting, artificial intelligence integration, and novel physical and chemical separation methods. Modern techniques not only enhance ore recovery and grade but also significantly reduce water and energy consumption, aligning with global sustainability goals. This article reviews the most impactful technologies shaping mineral processing, explores their mechanisms, advantages, and challenges, and provides insights into their future potential in optimizing mineral resource utilization.
