Abstract

Postdoctoral Researcher in Latin Language and Culture References to authors and texts are given according to the norms of the Oxford Classical Dictionary, 20124 (1949), edited by S. Hornblower, A. Spawforth, and E. Eidinow, Oxford: Oxford University Press, and references to journals according to those of the Année philologique (1928–, Paris). Seneca’s De ira is abbreviated as ‘Sen. Ira’ and not, like other Senecan dialogues, as ‘Sen. Dial. [= Ira]’. Unless specified, the text of Seneca is quoted from Zwierlein’s OCT (1986b) and translations are from Fitch’s Loeb edition (20182). Translations of the texts of other authors are my own unless otherwise indicated.
