Abstract
Potamarcha congener (Rambur, 1842) Selected references: Potamarcha congener (Rambur, 1842);— Karsch 1891: 245 (first record from Sumatra: North Sumatra);— Dow et al. 2018: 16 (first records from Riau). Specimens collected. P4a: 1 ♂ (RER23 _ LIB229; RER), 31 v 2023; 1 ♂ (RER23 _ LIB230; BRIN), 31 v 2023; 1 ♂ (RER23 _ LIB231; UMRI), 31 v 2023; P5a: 1 ♂ (RER23 _ LIB342; UMRI), at the shallow pool beside the stream, 22 ix 2023; P5f: 1 ♂ (RER23 _ LIB341; BRIN), 22 ix 2023. Remarks. Seemingly fairly common on the mineral soils at the base of the Kampar Peninsula but almost entirely absent from the peat soil part of the peninsula, where the only record is from a rain-fed artificial pond not in peat and presumably not with low pH water.
