Remarks. The most common of the four Archibasis species recorded in the Kampar Peninsular, except on the tributaries of Sungai Kampar where A. melanocyana dominates. Females of this genus are difficult to identify to species unless found with males and at location M4b no males of A. viola were found but males of two other species (A. melanocyana and A. oscillans) were recorded, leaving some room for doubt over the identity of the females found there, they are listed with a ‘?’ above for this reason.
