Intelligent Computer Vision for Braided Medical Implant Evaluation

Zenodo (CERN European Organization for Nuclear Research)

Abstract

This work presents a computer vision framework for automated evaluation of braided medical implants. It extracts key geometric features such as braiding angle, pore size, and strand spacing, detecting subtle structural deviations that are difficult to see manually. The system provides reproducible, high-throughput quality assessment suitable for both laboratory and industrial use.
