The Hyperion Visor Sensor Tiles: Single-Board Integration of SiPM Array, TOFPET2 ASIC, and FPGA
Abstract
The Hyperion Visor sensor tile family integrates optical sensors and readout electronics, utilizing a TOFPET2 ASIC from PETsys on a single MRI-compatible board. The top side of the tiles is completely covered with SiPMs, while the ASIC, bias voltage regulation and measurement components, along with an Artix-7 FPGA from Xilinx/AMD, are located on the reverse side. Including an aluminum cap for mounting and cooling, the height is only 7 mm.
