Sparse Image Representation of Channel Impulse Response Based on Direction of Arrival Multipath Components
IEEE Asia-Pacific Microwave Conference (APMC), pp. 1096–1098
Abstract
This paper proposes a representation concept of channel impulse response (CIR) multipath (MP) signals as a sparse image. The image construction is derived from the direction of arrivals (DoA) of the signals. The image determines the CIR parameter values in azimuth and elevation of the DoA. The main goal of the image is to treat the CIR as a dataset for further channel prediction. As an example of the concept, the study performed a simulation in a corridor scenario where some MP signals occurred, and a measurement was performed to validate the scenario in terms of power delay profile (PDP).
