Optically Transparent Silver-Based Specular Radar Reflector for Radar Integrated Headlights

European Radar Conference (EuRAD), pp. 284–287

Abstract

A specular radar reflector based on a glass substrate with periodic silver structures is developed that redirects radar radiation and is optically transparent. It allows a compact integration of radar sensors into automotive headlights. Two different designs are manufactured and characterized in both the optical and E-band radar frequency domain.
