Abstract
The article investigates the narrative role of the anonymous servant inthree biblical episodes (1Sam 9; Jdgs 19; 2Kgs 5). Through a synchronic approachto the text and with the help of discursive-narratological analysis of the scenes inwhich the servant appears, it will show how the biblical authors use this characterin the context of a definite narrative pattern and with the intent of conveying a preciseideological mode.
