New piezoelectric polymer characterization tool enabling the development of highly reliable and homogeneous materials for ductile sensor applications

Proceedings - IEEE International Symposium on Applications of Ferroelectrics/Proceedings of the ... IEEE International Symposium on Applications of Ferroelectrics, pp. 1–4

Abstract

This study focuses on the exploration of electromechanical properties of polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) using a new characterization tool for piezoelectric polymers. The theoretical background is briefly described, then the experimental setup is shown, results are presented and discussed. The study puts emphasis on the temperature and humidity dependency of d31of PVDF. Finally, a short conclusion is given.
