Abstract
The research field of process abstraction is getting more attention recently. It is closely related to the term process mining, which refers to collect data from several perspectives and analyze the processes based on event data. The problem of process abstraction have become more complex and challenging, since the events were recorded highly likely by low-level data or unstructured data. This paper presents a systemic literature review, based on 11 selected papers. The research questions, methodologies and findings of these published papers were analysed carefully. This paper aims to highlight the different process abstraction methodologies, to propose a suitable method for process abstraction, and to provide researchers with a comprehensive background for understanding the current work being undertaken in this field.
