Abstract

An outlook is given on the future developments in the global fiber market with a special focus on cotton, bast and hard fibers, wool, man-made fibers, namely synthetics and cellulose-based as well as inorganic fibers. The world fiber market in 2050 is forecast with the to-be-expected slight degree of uncertainty.
