Abstract

All relevant testing procedures for fibers are explained with many schematics and photos. The test methods include those for density, chemical composition, fineness, strength etc., internal structure (e.g. WAXS), length, crimp, moisture and water absorption. A list of international standards (DIN ISO, ASTM) concludes the chapter.
