Long-Range Ising Interactions Mediated by λϕ4 Fields: Probing the Renormalization of Sound in Crystals of Trapped Ions
PRX Quantum, vol. 3
Abstract
A protocol for the interferometric sensing of an interacting scalar quantum field theory is proposed in an array of trapped ions, which can lead to the observation of renormalization in a high-energy physics quantum simulation, and open new ways to probe real-time effects towards quantum advantage.
