Abstract

Protein-bound uremic toxins (PBUTs) accumulate in the organism of chronic kidney disease patients and impose deleterious effects on the cardiovascular system as well as other organs. However, there is no unanimous consensus on the most optimum PBUTs reduction approach thus far.
