Spike pattern detection and evaluation in epileptogenic human brain tissue – on the hunt for micro-circuit network anomalies

Brain and Spine, vol. 1, pp. 100708

Abstract

Results: Our sample follows a normal distribution for f0, jitter, shimmer and HNR.Pearson r test revealed a correlation between pre-op f0 and post-op at target.Paired t-tests revealed that there was no statistical significance pre-op and post-op.One sample t-test showed a statistically significant difference for the post-operative shimmer. Conclusion: Our results from six patients support the fact that the unilateral placement and the activation of an electrode in the posterior subthalamic area do not have an effect on the patient's voice.
