BIOMARKER TEST

Espacenet Family 90458463

Abstract

The present invention relates to a method for the quantitative assessment of at least one biomarker for an infection, disease or disorder or at least one drug in a subject using a point-ofcare device , Wherein the detection occurs via upconverting nanoparticles. The invention also relates to the diagnosis and/or monitoring of the infection, disease or disorder or the treatment thereof in the subject. In addition, the present invention can be used to classify the stage of the infection, disease or disorder as well as to determine the effectiveness of a treatment regimen. Adjustments to biological drug treatment regimens can also be made by using the method according to the invention. A device that can be used for the present invention is also described.
