Method, controller and power electronics module for diagnosing degradation

Espacenet Family 88745691

Abstract

The invention relates to a method for diagnosing degradation of a power electronics module (2), said power electronics module (2) comprising a semiconductor component (3). The method comprises the following steps: providing an input signal of the power electronic module (2), the input signal comprising a large signal part provided for activating the semiconductor component (3); and receiving an output signal of the power electronics module to facilitate degradation diagnosis of the power electronics module (2), the output signal being based on an input signal, where the input signal comprises a periodic signal portion.
