DEVICE IMPLEMENTING A CONFIGURABLE FINITE STATE MACHINE
Abstract
The invention relates to a device implementing a finite state machine, comprising a plurality of cells (Ci), each having three states (RS, LF, RF) comprising a released state (RS) and two activated states (LF, RF) respectively corresponding to opposite biases; a control input (Ai, BVi1, BVi2) for setting a current state of the cell from the released state to one of the activated states corresponding to a current bias of the cell, or from one of the activated states to the released state; and a bias link (BHi) coupling the cell to an adjacent cell (Ci+1), and setting the current bias of the cell to the current bias of the adjacent cell when the latter is an activated state, a part of the cells comprising two bias links (BHi, BHi+1) coupled to two adjacent cells, the current bias of the cell being a default bias of the cell when each adjacent cell of the cell is in the released state.
