Method, apparatus, earphone and computer program for actively suppressing occlusion effects when reproducing audio signal

Espacenet Family 76217864

Abstract

In a method according to the invention for actively suppressing occlusion effects when reproducing an audio signal by means of an earphone (10) or a hearing aid, a sound signal appearing from the outside is captured (20) by means of at least one external microphone (11) of the earphone or hearing aid. A speech signal is acquired (21) by means of at least one additional microphone (12, 17). A dry component of the acquired speech signal is estimated (22), wherein the dry component of the acquired speech signal is a portion of the acquired speech signal that is free of reverberation or ambient noise caused by ambient space. A speech component is extracted from an external sound acquired by means of at least one external microphone by means of a filter, a filter coefficient of the filter being determined (23) based on an estimated dry component of the acquired speech signal, or the estimated dry component of the acquired speech signal being filtered such that the speech component is generated (23), and the filter coefficient of the filter being determined (23) based on the estimated dry component of the acquired speech signal. The speech component has a spatiality similar to that of the speech component at the external microphone. The extracted or generated speech component is output (24) by a speaker of the earphone or hearing aid.
